Food Adventure to Cafe Madeleine, SF

Back around 8 months ago when I worked around the New Montgomery area of SF, I used to frequent this place called Cafe Madeleine. They'd have really good hot or cold sandwiches and soups, quick-to-prepare or already prepared to accommodate those who don't have much time during their lunch breaks, which is pretty much everyone in SF. Among the cold sandwiches, the roast beef with wild arugula and truffle-ricotta cheese on a French baguette was really, really good. Possibly one of the only cold sandwiches I would consider eating around the area, but it's around $8 a pop for each. Not exactly the best option for the close to minimum-wage earners.
But that isn't why I came to Cafe Madeleine.

As you can already figure from me throwing these pictures in your face, almost two-fistedly, it's THOSE FRIGGIN DESSERTS.
Good lord, their dessert selection is downright delectable and visually appetizing. One of the best parts is, it's already prepared. You could choose one and you'll have it on a plate or to-go container. Now, that's not terribly impressive, but when a restaurant has prepared desserts that are 1) visually impressive and 2) remarkably tasty, that would give it some extra edge. There are also desserts only available during certain seasons too, so you might find some pumpkin related stuff around Fall, and so on.

So, the desserts are impressive. Their selection is encompassing, accessible, and all for around $5 a pop. By encompassing, you'll usually have the standard options people want: chocolate, fruit desserts, caramels, cheesecake, tarts, tiramisu and so on. Just passing by this place gets me cheerful again, wanting for another dessert that I can't quite pass up.

If you've ever in the area, 149 New Montgomery St. in San Francisco, perhaps stop by for a sandwich and dessert. Also, my favorite out of all of these desserts is the triple chocolate. I've got quite a tooth for that good stuff.
